The design is inspired by Yemeni architecture and the Fatimid civilization, known for intricate geometric and floral motifs, arches, and distinct structural forms.
This masjid beautifully integrates the traditional Qamariya window design, a hallmark of Yemeni Islamic architecture, particularly found in the old cities of Sana’a and Jibla.
Semi-circular arches with stained glass windows capture the authentic form of Qamariya. The geometric floral motifs in the stained glass panels enhance the Islamic character while celebrating handcrafted artistry. These window softly diffuse natural light into interiors, creating a calming spiritual ambiance, perfectly suited for a place of worship.
It has a strong emphasis on regional identity through the use of indigenous materials in construction to bring out a fusion of spiritual expression and architectural beauty, rooted deeply in local tradition.
